Tim Bruer Quartet

Originally from Adelaide, pianist/composer Tim Bruer has been present as a band leader on the Sydney scene for some time. In recent years, while continuing to perform, he’s been completing his master’s degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, studying with Mike Nock, Judy Bailey and Dale Barlow.

A thoughtful, reflective player but capable of energising his fellow performers Bruer’s current quartet features some of his favourite musicians performing an all original repertoire which features a number of new compositions that draw on the influences of Jarrett, Scofield, and others.
