Mike Nock Trio

Get in quick – this is going to be a big night.

Those who heard the open and thrilling playing of this trio at the Side-On last year will recall the excitement as the three musicians alternated between ferocious intensity and playful lyricism, often in the same piece.

Everyone else will nonetheless recognise that piano trios don’t come much better than this ensemble.

Nock’s powers of invention are as strong as ever as evidenced by his latest albums, Changing Seasons (DIW) and BigSmallBand Live (ABC Jazz).
