Alister Spence Trio

In June the trio will fly out to perform in Europe and Canada, playing the Salisbury and the Chelsea international arts festivals, clubs in the UK and Europe, as well and the Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton International Jazz Festivals in Canada. It’s a just reward for one of the most inventive piano trios on the local scene.

Nominated for Jazz ensemble of the Year in 2004 Bell Jazz Awards, Alister Spence is not only an outstanding soloist but also a fine composer. His playing displays colour, emotional depth and attention to detail that constantly surprise and delight while at the same time, relying on the fine rhythm, section he is capable of generating and sustaining tension and excitement.
