The Coltrane Project was formed by Sydney saxophonist Paul Cutlan in honour and celebration of the music of one of the greatest jazz saxophonists and musical innovators.

For this special concert the band turns to some of the best-known and most challenging repertoire of Coltrane’s early “Giant Steps” period.

Boasting a line up of the crème of Sydney’s creative musicians, the Coltrane Project will present uniquely personal arrangements of the music of John Coltrane along with several originals which show links to this heritage.

…overwhelming in both its emotional intensity and physical power… You should definitely see this outfit at least once in your life – John Shand, SMH.
