Melbourne-based Adrian Sherriff is a performer, composer, teacher and multi-instrumentalist (brass, winds, percussion and voice). Adrian’s musical foundations are in the study of European classical, Afro-American jazz, South Indian classical, Japanese shakuhachi and Balinese gamelan music traditions.
A member of the Australian Art Orchestra, Andrea Keller’s Bartok Project and the Bennett’s Lane Big Band, Adrian also works on numerous cross-genre projects and also leads the 20-piece Oynsemble Melbourne, featuring some of Australia’s finest musicians and ‘Bone Clan’ – a jazz trombone choir.
Tonight, Adrian teams up with fellow Melbournian, the internationally celebrated Niko Schauble, as well as local virtuosos, Sandy Evans on saxophone, Alister Spence on piano and Steve Elphick on bass.
Expect the sparks to fly!
