Mark Isaacs Resurgence Band

With Resurgence the pianist makes it clear that he’s a writer who understands balance and a player who knows the meaning of context and development- John Kelman, ALL ABOUT JAZZ (USA).

Following the release of Resurgence (ABC) the Mark Isaacs Resurgence Band – which plays original compositions by Mark – undertook an Asia-Pacific tour including the Queensland Music Festival and jazz festivals in Japan, Korea and Thailand.

This is the only Sydney date of their extensive 14-concert Australian tour during October and November to all the States and Territories (including the Wangaratta Jazz Festival).

Mark’s achievements as a composer were recently affirmed by his receipt of the 2007 Albert H. Maggs Composition Award from the University of Melbourne.
