Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra with Ed Partyka

A Special Night of Jazz Orchestral Music at the Sound Lounge.

Featuring the compositions of US composer and guest conductor Ed Partyka (pictured left, with special guests Kristin Berardi & James Sherlock) and an opening set of original compositions by the Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra.

This concert features the music of brilliant US (now resident in Germany / Austria) composer and trombonist, Ed Partyka (Vienna Art Orchestra). Ed has composed a concerto for Big Band and Guitar which the Orchestra will perform with Virtuoso Brisbane Guitarist, James Sherlock as the featured artist. The set will also feature 2006 Montreaux International Vocal Competition and 2007 Freedman Fellow Kristin Berardi, singing some compositions of Ed’s, as well as original compositions from the 2006 & 2007 Jazz Ensemble of the year nominee’s, The Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra under the musical direction of David Theak (1st set) & Ed Partyka (2nd set).
