A special event!

Sydney bassist Mike Majkowski will be joined by some of Australia’s most dedicated and unique improvisers, to present two sets of original music.

Set 1 features Jim Denley (one of Australia’s most highly regarded improvisers) and Yusuke Akai (a growing force in Brisbane’s music scene). Set 2 features Peter Farrar (organizer of the highly successful Wadada Leo Smith concert), Alex Masso (Trio Apoplectic), James Pug Waples (Mike Nock Trio), and Simon Ferenci (The Splinter Orchestra).

Come along and share the moment with these guys, as they have a good time playing music you will feel good listening to.

It is also Mike’s birthday and his last Australian gig for 2008 as he is spending time in Europe – so all the more reason not to miss tonight!
