Real Jazz with quality, that can knock-out the rock generation! – Swing Journal, Japan.

Join us for a first ever live recording for Mike Nock and debut recording for this great trio!

Pianist/composer Mike Nock is undoubtedly one of Australia’s most accomplished and illustrious jazz musicians, renowned internationally. Having spent 25 years in the USA, he worked with an incredibly diverse group of musicians including Dionne Warwick, Coleman Hawkins, Art Blakey, Gunther Schuller and many others.

His new trio debuted this year with several appearances in Australia and overseas, including a memorable set opening for Sonny Rollins at the Sydney Opera House.

Featuring the outstanding talents of the Waples brothers, bassist Ben and drummer James, the trio’s music shows a remarkable intuitive communication and covers a wide conceptual range.

Both nights will be recorded and will be the first live Mike Nock trio sessions ever released. A rare opportunity to be part of a new CD by one of Australia’s iconic musicians on SIMA’s new piano. This promises to be two nights of memorable music.
