Jamie Oehlers Quartet

Winner of the 2003 World Saxophone Competition and 2007 Australian Jazz Artist of the Year, Jamie Oehlers returns to Sydney to perform with this all-star line up.

The group will be performing original material as well some group improvisations, an approach Jamie has been exploring with his very successful group “Lost and Found”, featuring Paul Grabowsky and Dave Beck.

His last CD with “Lost and Found” was a final nominee for an ARIA award and also for an Australian Independent Records Award as Jazz Album of the Year.

This group is a collection of players Jamie has performed with in the past and that he feels work from similar approaches to improvisation; organically, musically and sympathetically.
