The Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra (nominated as Australian Jazz Ensemble of the Year 2006 & 2007) is one of Australia’s finest and most dynamic jazz orchestras.
Embarking on its’ most ambitious project yet, a national tour with Belgian Jazz Legend, Bert Joris, the JMO will delight and impress Sydney audiences in two shows at The Sound Lounge for SIMA.
Belgian trumpeter & composer Bert Joris is a major force of the European jazz scene. Celebrated for the warmth and lyricism of his playing, Joris is a leading international musician with a particular love for large-ensemble jazz and is mainly known for his playing & composing with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra, Village Vanguard Orchestra and Belgian legend Phillip Catherine.
