Australian virtuoso bassist Steve Hunter is renowned for his work as a bandleader, composer and sideman and has performed widely here and abroad.
In 1999, he decided to form a larger group after playing in Bobby Previte’s Bitches Brew Project.
A nine piece evolved from a pool of about 20 players, determined by the quality and interplay of the assembled musicians.
SIMA was instrumental in getting the project off the ground, by presenting the groups’ first gigs and organising for an album to be recorded.
Come and experience how this music has evolved, a decade later, with this exciting Sydney line up of players.
