Together for two years and starting to build a cult following, ROIL features pianist Chris Abrahams (one of the most creative and emotive voices in Australian music, widely known for his work with ground breaking trio – The Necks), in collaboration with young Sydney bassist Mike Majkowski and versatile young drummer James Waples providing the rhythm.

For the past two years, they have been developing a unique approach to the piano trio format through improvisation, resulting in a weaving of individual textures and group phrasing.
