Pianist, composer and educator Judy Bailey is one of the key musicians in the development of Australian modern jazz.
Her performance history dates from Sydney’s legendary El Rocco Jazz Cellar to her current trio setting, which includes talented bassist Craig Scott, a bandleader in his own right and fellow educator at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and outstanding young drummer Tim Firth.
With years of rapport between them, this is a trio to revel in as you are treated to a wealth of Judy’s musical ideas, exceptional sense of dynamics and beautiful sound.
… A rhythm section’s dream pianist, providing much to feed on and responding to every nuance offered back – John Shand, SMH.
