"The quartet is as integrated as a computer chip throughout these mostly up-tempo originals with Sean's edgy tenor driving the excitement....." John McBeath (The Australian)

They celebrated 20 years together in 2011 and it’s the first chance this year to catch this hard-driving, exciting hip, local group. With two fine albums behind them, including recent release Living In Apocalyptic Times, the band looks forward to exploring their potential further. They combine technically brilliant playing with deeply expressive and soulful compositions, which showcase a love of the jazz tradition (with nods to many greats from Coltrane to Mehldau) while generating a strong contemporary sound.

There will be many new tunes, meaning all material on this gig will be Sean's music not yet recorded....but soon to be.  This gig will be to set up the vibe for the upcoming recoding session and subsequent album launch towards the end of the year. It also sets in motion an individual tour for Sean that will take him to Melbourne (twice), Perth, Sydney and Brisbane mid year....the start of good things to come.

"…Sophisticated collection of contemporary jazz delivered with an assurance and imaginative flair that speaks of an innate sensibility and understanding within the quartet....What's very obvious is [that] whatever [Sean] brought back from the US in his passion for that distinct East Coast US sound, he's now expressing his own musical voice". Michael Smith, Drum Media
