First of our AiTs is Jo Fabro, a powerful and dynamic singer-songwriter who is a regular feature in the Sydney and Australian jazz and soul scene. With her distinctive strong and edgy contemporary voice, Jo has performed both solo and with the Jo Fabro Group in Tokyo Japan, at the Tauranga Jazz Festival in New Zealand, as well as at many of Australia’s Top venues such as The Macquarie Hotel and the Manly Jazz Festival, The Wangaratta Jazz Festival  and The Darling Harbour Jazz Festival.

2011 saw the successful release of her debut album, Save My Soul (Birdland Records) and 2012 marks a new direction for Jo, as she has begun working on a new contemporary jazz endeavour, with some of Sydney's finest jazz musicians, performing original Australian jazz works. There are fresh-sounding hooks in each of her tunes that show an impressive and savvy understanding of the genre.
