Marketing and Office Coordinator

The Sydney Improvised Music Association seeks an enthusiastic and efficient Marketing and Office Coordinator to join the team, based at the Seymour Centre. This varied and dynamic role combines efficient office administration with the flair and skills to market SIMA’s performance and education activities across print, broadcast and online channels, including social media. You will be engaged in a variety of different activities such as preparing and implementing marketing campaigns, liaising with artists, agencies, designers and other contractors to develop season brochures, and marketing collateral to effectively promote SIMA’s performances, festivals and other activities, from design to distribution stage.

The role works in collaboration with the General Manager, Marketing Manager and SIMA publicist to fulfil work functions across the areas of arts administration, performing arts marketing and coordination of music workshop and communications.

To achieve the purpose of the position, the following attributes are required:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, IT, business or communications or equivalent professional experience
  • High level oral and written communication skills (English) and well developed interpersonal skills Demonstrated experience in marketing (including print media) and experience in working with digital communication platforms
  • Office administration experience, including database management/CRM, particularly using Salesforce
  • Strong planning, project management and project delivery skills
  • Demonstrated organisational and administrative ability, including eye for detail and strengths in record keeping

Status: 0.6 (3 to 4 days)

Salary: Range of $52,000 - $56,000 (pro-rata) depending on experience + 9.5 % superannuation

Term: One-year fixed term contract after successful probationary period, with opportunity for an ongoing role
