Treading a faint path between modern jazz and gentle pop, My Goodness McGuiness! Strip both genres back to celebrate melody as king.
Miss Little is the moniker for Sarah McCallum’s unique brand of song writing that has seen her described as a musical chameleon. She sits in the heart of traditional song writing, underpinned by electronic rhythms, jazz, noise, vocal layering and a deep seated influence of classical music.
My Goodness, McGuiness! are connected to a tradition of the artist as ethnographer, equipped
with education and knowledge but wanting to learn something new, opening their ears to the world and letting it sing to them. Insular Peninsular is the first recording from the group, and features a mostly gentle instrumental landscape of blue-blood 1970s pop covers and original songs by Lucian McGuiness.
